If you go to a petrol pump without PUC to fill petrol in your vehicle, you are bound to get a challan of Rs 10,000. The Delhi government has allotted the tender to private company Navgati Tech to install cameras and software for PUC testing at 100 petrol pumps.
The company has to start its services within 15 days. The company has been given the contract for five years.
The transport department official said that the company has been asked to prepare the system for PUC testing at at least 25 petrol pumps within 15 days. After that, the PUCC testing system will be installed at 100 petrol pumps in a few days. Its estimated cost is six crore rupees. Under the scheme, if the vehicles coming to the petrol pumps do not have a valid PUCC, then a few hours will be given for pollution testing and if the PUC is not made within this period, an e-challan of Rs 10,000 will be automatically deducted and its information will be sent to the vehicle owner on his mobile.

Let us tell you that this is a scheme of Delhi Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (DTIDC) of Delhi Government. Under the scheme, this system has been started at 100 petrol pumps for now, later it will be implemented at 400 petrol pumps.
