The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has been opened for traffic till Dausa. On February 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this first phase of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
After the completion of this longest expressway of the country, it will be possible to reach between Delhi and Mumbai by car in 12 hours. Now it takes 24 hours to cover this journey. You can drive a car at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour on this magnificent road. But, while driving on the expressway, you have to drive very carefully. You will be surprised to know that you cannot park your vehicle anywhere and anytime on the side of this road. If you do this then you may be challaned.
Various arrangements have been made and rules have been made to prevent accidents on the expressway. In which the guidelines issued regarding stopping the vehicle are also included. There is no breaker anywhere on this entire highway from Delhi to Vadodara. The highway has been made very high. Barricading has been done on both sides of the highway so that stray animals do not come on the road. On this road made of German technology, you will not get shocked even if you drive at a speed of 120 km.
The challan will be deducted for stopping the car suddenly.
The maximum speed on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is 120 km per hour. But, on this expressway, you cannot stop the vehicle without any reason. The challan will be deducted if the vehicle is suddenly stopped. There is permission to stop the vehicle only in the rest area. Rest areas have been made at some distance. You can stop the vehicle without rest area on the expressway only if there is a technical fault.
Entry ban of these vehicles
The National Highways Authority of India has banned the entry of some vehicles on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Bikes, tractor-trolleys, horses and bullock carts will not be able to run on the expressway. They will be stopped only at the entry of the expressway. NHAI has said in a notification that the entry of slow moving vehicles is restricted on the expressway.
Khalilpur is about 20 kilometers away from the starting point of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. To travel till here, a toll tax of Rs 90 will have to be paid while traveling by light vehicle. For commercial vehicles, this rate will be Rs 145.
If someone goes to Barkapara, he will have to pay a toll tax of Rs 500 while traveling in a light vehicle, while the toll tax for light commercial vehicles will be Rs 805. Apart from Khalilpur and Barkapara, toll gates will also be found in Samsabad, Sheetal, Pinan, and Dungarpur. If a 7 axle vehicle goes from the entry point to Barkapara, then it will have to pay toll tax of Rs 3,215.
