How to cancel Delhi Metro ticket online

Actually, some time ago, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) had made a joint agreement for advance booking in metros like trains. Just like you can do advance booking in trains, you can do advance booking in metros as well. As soon as you book your train ticket online, you can also book metro tickets online.

The date for which you have booked the ticket is valid for two days before and two days after that date. But if for some reason your journey gets cancelled, then you can cancel your metro ticket just like you cancel your train ticket.

Follow this process

For this, you will have to go to the IRCTC website or mobile app. Then you will have to choose the option to cancel the ticket. After this, select the counter ticket option. After this, you will have to enter the necessary information like PNR number, train number, and captcha. After this, verify the cancellation process and click on submit. After this, your metro ticket along with your train ticket will also be cancelled.

Now Delhi Metro tickets can be booked through IRCTC website or app. When you book a train for travel, you get the option of metro booking in it. After clicking on it, you can book metro tickets. However, if you book Delhi Metro tickets through DMRC’s app or WhatsApp or any other app, then it will not be cancelled.
