Self-baggage drop facility for passengers at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) in Delhi has been started at terminal number three. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the managing body of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, has installed 14 SBD machines including 12 automatic ones to facilitate self baggage drop. However, at present this facility will be available only to domestic passengers. After getting all necessary approvals, this facility will also be started for international passengers.

Delhi International Airport Limited issued a release

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the organization that manages Indira Gandhi International Airport, issued a release related to this service, saying that currently passengers of the country’s largest airline company Indigo will be able to use this facility. After this, passengers of Vistara, Air India, Air France, and British Airways will also be given the benefit of this facility.

How to use this service

Passengers of Indira Gandhi International Airport will be able to use the facility of self baggage drop in two stages. For this, passengers will first have to take the check-in kiosk boarding pass and baggage tag. Passengers will then have to manually tag their checked baggage. Passengers will then have to scan their boarding pass near the machine.

Passengers will then have to declare that they are not carrying any prohibited or dangerous goods. After this, the passengers will have to keep the luggage on the conveyor belt. After this whole process, your luggage will automatically reach the flight. Along with this, the machine installed for this will also weigh and scan the goods.
