AIIMS Fire: A massive fire broke out on Monday in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) building located in the national capital New Delhi . About six fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot. At present, efforts are on to douse the fire. According to information, the fire broke out in the endoscopy room of the hospital. All the patients have been taken out of the hospital safely.

Officials told news agency ANI that a sudden fire broke out in the endoscopy room of AIIMS on Monday morning. As soon as the fire was reported, all the people were immediately taken out of the hospital. A Delhi Fire Service official said that more than 6 fire engines have been sent to the spot. The fire will be brought under control soon.

In a video that has surfaced on social media, flames can be seen in the endoscopy room of AIIMS. AIIMS officials said that all the people have been evacuated. Flames were seen on the second floor of the AIIMS building. At present, the cause of the fire has not been ascertained.

PTI quoted an official as saying that the fire was reported around 11.54 am, following which six fire engines were rushed to the spot. The fire broke out in the endoscopy room located above the emergency ward on the second floor of the Old OPD. PTI quoted AIIMS sources as saying that all the patients have been taken out of the room.
