About six fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot. At present, efforts are on to douse the fire. According to information, the fire broke out in the endoscopy room of the hospital. All the patients have been taken out of the hospital safely.

In a video that has surfaced on social media, flames can be seen in the endoscopy room of AIIMS. AIIMS officials said that all the people have been evacuated. Flames were seen on the second floor of the AIIMS building. At present, the cause of the fire has not been ascertained.
PTI quoted an official as saying that the fire was reported around 11.54 am, following which six fire engines were rushed to the spot. The fire broke out in the endoscopy room located above the emergency ward on the second floor of the Old OPD. PTI quoted AIIMS sources as saying that all the patients have been taken out of the room.
