Dearness Allowance in Rajasthan: After the announcement of 4 percent increase in dearness allowance for central employees and pensioners by the central government, the pressure has increased on the state governments as well.
The Government of Rajasthan has announced to increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent for its employees and pensioners, a few hours after the announcement of the Center. The government clarified that this Dearness Allowance will be given from July this year.
Employees will get increased dearness allowance from July
State Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced this by tweeting. He tweeted and said, ‘In line with the Central Government employees, 4 percent increase in Dearness Allowance of State employees and Dearness Relief payable to pensioners has been approved. Now 38 percent dearness allowance and dearness relief rate will be payable to state employees and pensioners from July 1, 2022. Earlier the rate of dearness allowance was 34 percent.
1,096 crore additional burden on the government
Taking a jibe at the central government, CM Gehlot said, ‘The central government announces to increase the dearness allowance, but it is implemented after a long time. At the same time, his government of Rajasthan distributes the increased amount without delay. He said that an additional expenditure of Rs 1,096 crore would be made from the government’s fund on implementing the announcement made on Wednesday in the interest of the employees.
Union cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday
Let us inform that on Wednesday, a meeting of the Union Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of PM Narendra Modi. In this meeting, it was announced to increase the Dearness Allowance by 4 percent for central employees and pensioners.
This decision of the Center will benefit about 48 lakh central employees and 68 lakh pensioners in the country. This decision of the Center is being considered as a Diwali gift for the central employees. After this decision, now the state governments are also engaged in multiplication to increase the dearness allowance of their employees.
