The Bhupesh Baghel government of Chhattisgarh has announced a spectacular increase of 6 percent in the dearness allowance of government employees. After this big decision of the state government, the government employees here will get 28 percent dearness allowance. This decision will benefit 3.8 lakh government employees.
Government made big announcement
It is worth noting that government employees were taking the benefit of 22 percent dearness allowance under the 7th Pay Commission and 174 percent under the 6th Pay Commission. But now the dearness allowance has been increased by 6 percent under the 7th Pay Commission and 15 percent under the 6th Pay Commission. This increase will come into effect from August 1, 2022. This decision of the government will put a burden of Rs 2,160 crore on the exchequer.
It is worth noting that just recently, on August 15, the Gujarat government had announced an increase in the dearness allowance of the employees before the assembly elections in the state. According to the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, the Gujarat government has increased the dearness allowance by 3 percent, which will be considered effective from January 1, 2022. Earlier, the state governments of Tripura and Madhya Pradesh have also announced to increase dearness allowance.
DA of central employees will also increase!
Let us tell you that where the BJP government of Tripura has increased the Dearness Allowance of the state government employees by 5 percent. Earlier, at the same time, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also increased the dearness allowance of the state government employees by 3%, increasing it from 31 percent to 34 percent.
