Ahead of the festive season, the Odisha government on Monday announced a major hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees. As per the latest notification, Dearness Allowance has been increased by 3 percent.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved the proposal for hike in dearness allowance for state government employees. Along with this, the dearness allowance of the employees has been increased from the existing 31 percent to 34 percent.
According to the latest notification issued by the Odisha government, ‘The hike in Dearness Allowance 1.1 will come into effect from 2022’. Government employees will get their enhanced salary from September to August along with arrears accrued from the increased DA. About 4 lakh government employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners will benefit from this hike.
