How will the DA of July 2023 be decided?
If we look at the numbers of AICPI index for April 2023, there is a 4% increase in dearness allowance. Dearness allowance will reach 46% in the coming days. Even if there is no rise in the index in May and June, the DA score may go above 45.60. In such a situation, 46 percent dearness allowance will be available. On the other hand, even if the CPI(IW) numbers increase from 134.2 to 134.8, there is every hope of getting 46 percent DA. If everything goes well, then the payment of DA to central employees, which will increase from July 2023, will start from the salary of October.
DA will be Rs 1,68,636
After increasing the 4% dearness allowance, the total DA will reach 46%. Now if we look at the salary of pay band 5400 at Rs 30,550, then the total annual DA will be Rs 1,68,636 at the rate of 46 per cent. Which will currently be Rs 1,53,972. If we talk about the difference from the current dearness allowance, then the salary will increase by Rs 14,664.
