DA Hike: All the government employees and pensioners of Rajasthan have received a big gift from the government. The Bhajanlal Sharma government of Rajasthan has decided to increase the dearness allowance (DA) of state employees by two percent.
This will benefit 12 lakh 40 thousand employees and pensioners.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has given the gift of two percent increase in dearness allowance (DA) to the state employees during the financial year 2025-26. Pensioners will also be given the benefit of two percent increase in dearness allowance. Last Friday, the Central Government also announced an increase in the DA of central employees. After which the state government has also taken this decision.
Dearness allowance increased from 53 to 55 percent
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma approved the proposal of the Finance Department in this regard on Tuesday. Now, under the seventh pay scale in the state, the dearness allowance of state employees and pensioners will be increased from 53 percent to 55 percent from January 1, 2025. About eight lakh employees and 4.40 lakh pensioners will get the benefit of this. Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad employees will also get the benefit of this increase.
The increased dearness allowance will be paid from the salary of April 2025
According to this, the employees will be paid the increased dearness allowance in cash from the salary of April 2025 payable in May 2025 and the amount for three months from January 1 to March 31, 2025 will be deposited in the General Provident Fund account of the concerned employees.
The financial burden on the government will increase by Rs 820 crore
Pensioners will be paid dearness relief in cash from January 1, 2025. This decision will put an annual financial burden of about Rs 820 crore on the state government.
