DA Hike in UP : There is good news for the government employees of UP. Yogi Adityanath’s government has given a big relief to the government employees of Uttar Pradesh today.

The government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 2%, which has now increased from 53% to 55%. This increased allowance will be applicable from January 1, 2025. Lakhs of employees and pensioners will get direct benefit from this.

Employees will get relief

The government says that this decision has been taken in view of rising inflation, so that employees can get some relief. Now employees will get more dearness allowance along with their salary, which will increase their income. Employee organizations have welcomed this decision of the government.

Recently other states have also increased DA

The Assam government gave a big relief to the state employees and pensioners before Bihu. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma approved a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR). Now the state employees will get a total of 55% DA.

The central government had increased DA in March

The central government has approved a 2 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for its employees and pensioners. This increase will be considered effective from January 1, 2025. This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held on 28 March 2025 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This will benefit more than one crore employees and pensioners. Now employees and pensioners are waiting to get their DA and DR. It is expected that it will be available in the salary of April.
