7th Pay Commission news: The wait of central government employees is finally going to end. Employees are going to get a big gift in the festive season. An increase in their dearness allowance is going to be announced.
The date has been fixed. The gift will be received before Diwali. There was a discussion going on for a long time that after 50 percent dearness allowance, it will be made zero. After becoming zero, 50 percent DA will be merged in the basic salary. But, since January 2024, dearness allowance (DA Hike) is being given 50 percent. But, it was not made zero. Now dearness allowance is to be announced from July 2024. Its date has come.
The announcement will be made on the 23rd!
The announcement of DA Hike for the employees receiving salary under the 7th Pay Commission can be made in the cabinet meeting on 23rd October. Employees will be given the gift of festive season before Diwali. It will also be paid in October itself. Along with this, 3 months’ arrears will also be given to the employees. This arrears will be the difference between the old and new dearness allowance.
So will it be zero now or not?
The dearness allowance of the employees will not be zero. The calculation of dearness allowance (DA Hike calculation) will continue. Actually, there is no rule regarding this. Last time this was done when the base year was changed. Now there is no need to change the base year. Therefore, dearness allowance for central employees will increase at the rate of 50 percent.
