According to the information, there is less possibility of announcement of dearness allowance of government employees this month i.e. in September. (Govt Employees DA Hike and Arrears Paymennt Latest Order Notification) If sources are to be believed, the government will announce DA and DAR in October i.e. before Diwali.

In fact, in the second week of October, the Union Cabinet can approve the file for increase in dearness allowance. Let us tell you that at present the rate of dearness allowance and dearness relief is 50 percent. If there is an increase of 4 percent in it, then this rate will reach 54.
According to sources, the government may announce an increase of 3-4% in dearness allowance in the third week of September 2024. Earlier in March 2024, the government had increased DA by 4%. With this it became 50% of the basic salary. Recently, the government had announced the launch of Unified Pension Scheme (UPS). This is being discussed among employees across the country.

Demand for 8th pay commission
Many employees unions of the central government are constantly demanding the formation of the Eighth Pay Commission. However, there is no hurry from the government in the formation of this commission. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on July 30, Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary had said that ‘two applications were received for the formation of the Eighth Central Pay Commission in June 2024.
