The month of November can prove to be good for central employees. Negotiations are to be held on 18 months dues at the end of this month. The time has been fixed for the meeting with the cabinet secretary.
The representatives of the Employees and Pensioners Union will request the Secretary to clear the dues in this meeting. However, it is not yet final whether the government will agree to its payment or not. Because, once before the government has denied it.
If sources are to be believed, after all-round pressure from the pensioners and employees union, the cabinet secretary has given time to talk on this issue.
11 percent of the three installment money is outstanding
The three installment dues (DA Arrears) of central employees between January 2020 and June 2021 have not been received. This is 11 per cent. After the opening of the lockdown due to the epidemic corona, the government lifted the ban on freeze DA.
But, after July 2021, the increased dearness allowance was paid. But, no money was received for the period of 18 months. In this case, the government got rid of it by saying only that dearness allowance was freeze, money for this period would not be made. The hike in DA has come into effect from July 2021. It is being paid for.
The Supreme Court had also accepted that these employees are entitled.
There is a constant demand of central employees that this is their right, its money should not be stopped. The employees had also appealed in the court regarding the demand for arrears allowance. On this, the Supreme Court had asked the government to consider saying that this is the right of the employees, it can be frozen but cannot be stopped. Pensioners also appealed to PM Modi regarding their DR arrears.
Now efforts are being made to negotiate with the government regarding the one and a half year arrears (18 Months DA Arrear). If central employees get DA dues, then a huge amount will come in their account. As a rough estimate, National Council of JCM (Staff Side) Shiv Gopal Mishra said that the payment of employees will be different at different pay levels.
But the DA arrears of employees at Level-3 can range between Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554. Whereas, for Level-13 (Basic pay scale Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900) or Level-14, the employee’s arrears can range between Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200. However, there can also be a negotiated settlement with the government. Then this figure may change.
4320+3240+4320=11880 will be available for three installments
If the minimum salary according to the pay matrix of central employees is Rs 18000, he will get Rs 11,880 (Rs 4320+3240+4320) as arrears. In this, according to the level-1 basic pay scale range 18000 to 56900, the central employee (Kendriye Karmchari) with minimum grade pay will be Rs 4320 for the first installment from January to July 2020.
At the same time, DA arrears from July to December 2020 will be Rs 3,240. At the same time, if we calculate the DA arrears between January and July 2021, it will be Rs 4,320.
