According to the report, there are 10 such common passwords in India, which scammers crack in a few seconds. If you also use common or weak passwords, change them immediately.

For scammers carrying out cyber attacks, common or weak PIN and password are the easiest way to break into any system. Common PINs and passwords like ‘1234’ or ‘0000’ can be easily tracked. Some people keep their own or someone close’s date of birth or phone number in the name of the password, which scammers can easily crack.

  • Do not use less than 8 characters in password.

  • Never create a password by asking anyone.
  • To protect your data and device, you can use passphrase instead of password.
  • While creating the password, make a combination of alpha numeric and special characters.
