Yes, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has made a big announcement for the contract workers posted in different departments.
At present, the salary is being received according to the Sixth Pay Commission.
According to the order issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, all the employees posted on contract in various departments, whose recruitment has been done after completing all the formalities on the basis of the advertisement issued, they will be given salary under the Seventh Pay Commission.
Pay minimum wage. Till now these contract workers are getting minimum wages according to the Sixth Pay Commission. The number of such contractual employees in the state is 2150. With this decision taken for the benefit of the employees, the state government will have an additional annual burden of Rs 29 crore every year.
A committee was formed, Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna informed about the decision taken in this regard in the state cabinet meeting held on February 14. Giving information, he said that a committee was formed to implement the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission.
This committee had recommended giving minimum wages to such contractual employees under the Seventh Pay Commission. Let us tell you that most of these contract workers are working in Health, Irrigation and Public Works Department.
