CNG price hike: IGL hikes rates by up to Rs 4 in several cities – See where prices have gone up

New Delhi. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has increased the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The company has announced an increase in the price of CNG from Rs 1.5 to Rs 4 per kg. IGL has kept Delhi away from this price hike.

At the same time, the price of CNG has been increased in NCR cities like Noida, Greater Noida and Gurugram. This increase in prices is expected to affect about 30 percent of the areas where IGL operates. 70 percent of the company’s total CNG consumption comes from Delhi.

Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has increased the price by 2 rupees per kg in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Karnal and Kaithal. It has increased the price by 1.5 rupees per kg in Ajmer, Pali and Rajsamand of Rajasthan. IGL has increased the rate of CNT by 3 rupees per kg in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Shamli, Mahoba, Banda and Chitrakoot.

The price has already increased in Mumbai The price of CNG has already increased in Mumbai. Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) has increased the price of CNG in Mumbai by Rs 2 per kilogram from Rs 75 per kilogram to Rs 77. IGL and MGL have increased the rates of CNG after the government reduced the supply of cheap natural gas from old gas fields by 20% from November 16. Earlier, on October 16, the supply was also reduced by 21%. After these cuts, gas companies like IGL, MGL and Adani Total Gas had expressed apprehensions that their profitability would be affected.
