CM Himanta also announced new rules for government jobs

Government jobs Rule: After the Uttar Pradesh government, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has also announced that his government will soon bring a law of life imprisonment in cases of ‘love jihad’. Sarma, while talking to BJP leaders in the state BJP executive meeting in Guwahati, said that soon a bill will be brought in the assembly in this regard and a law will be made.

Assam Chief Minister Sarma said on Sunday that a new domicile policy will also be brought by the Assam government. Under this, only people born in Assam will be considered eligible for government jobs. Sarma said that as per the pre-election promise, the people of Assam will be given priority in the jobs given by the state government.

List of one lakh jobs will be released soon: CM

The state government has promised to provide jobs to one lakh people before the elections. A list will be released soon in this regard. The Chief Minister said that the Assam government has also taken a decision regarding the sale of land between Muslims and Hindus. Sarma said that the government cannot stop such transactions from taking place, but it will make it mandatory to present such cases before the Chief Minister for his approval before finalizing it.

Aadhar card will be available at the time of birth

Sarma also said that the Assam government will launch a pilot project to issue Aadhaar cards along with birth certificates to newborns in 13 medical colleges of the state. Aadhaar cards will be issued within a few days of the birth of newborns.

He said that initially this project will be started only in the medical colleges of the district. After that this scheme will be implemented in the whole state, so that children get Aadhar card as soon as they are born and their relatives do not have to stand in queue for it.

Financial assistance of two lakh rupees to poor youth

He said that the Assam government has started a special scheme for the youth below the poverty line. A scheme has been started to give two lakh rupees to the youth living below the poverty line to set up industry. In its first phase, interviews will be conducted in the districts from 16 August to 5 September and the amount will be distributed by 30 September.
