The employees’ union has made a big announcement for bus passengers. It has been announced to keep bus stands closed across Punjab. According to the information, the temporary employees of Punjab Roadways have made a big announcement to make themselves permanent. Various unions of Roadways, Punbus and PRTC have said that on April 3, bus stands across the state will remain closed for 2 hours.
The union further announced that there will be a complete strike by the casual employees on April 6, 7 and 8. The temporary employees of Roadways say that the Punjab government has presented the budget but no announcement has been made about them. They said that they should be made permanent.
Giving information in this regard, the head of the Contract Workers Union said that they had held talks with the previous governments many times but nothing came of it and this government did not accept their demands, due to which this announcement has been made. Along with this, the union has demanded the Punjab government to purchase 10 thousand new buses.
