Bihar govt is going to give “AYUSHMAAN CARD” to these 58 lakh people

Bihar Ration Card: People spend lakhs of rupees in the treatment of sudden illness. That is why many people get health insurance in advance so that they do not have to face any problem in an emergency medical situation.

But there are many people in India who do not have enough money to buy separate health insurance. The Government of India helps such people.

For this, the government started the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the year 2018. Under this scheme, the government provides free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh to the beneficiaries. Some documents have to be completed to get the Ayushman card made. Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey has announced to link ration card holders in Bihar with the Ayushman scheme. Now lakhs of ration card holders of Bihar will be able to avail the benefits under the Ayushman scheme.

Ayushman cards will be made for 58 lakh ration card holders

In the year 2018, the central government launched the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana. This scheme has completed 6 years this month. On this occasion, yesterday i.e. on 22 September, Health Minister Mangal Pandey launched the scheme in Bihar’s capital Patna. While launching the scheme, he said that 58 lakh ration card holders in Bihar will be added under the Ayushman Yojana.

Giving information at a function organized at Gyan Bhawan in Patna, Health Minister of Bihar Government Mangal Pandey said that till now a total amount of Rs 1664 crore has been given to the poor for free treatment in Bihar under the Ayushman Yojana. Through this amount, 13,22,000 people have been treated for free.

Ayushman cards will be made for people above 70 years of age too

Taking a big decision, the central government has announced to provide benefits under the Ayushman scheme to senior citizens aged 70 years and above. There are more than 50 lakh people aged 70 years and above in Bihar. Health Minister Mangal Pandey has issued guidelines to make Ayushman cards for all these people as well. So far, Ayushman cards of 1 crore 21 lakh families have been made in Bihar. Bihar is at number three in this matter.
