School Summer Holidays Extended 2024 : There seems to be no relief from the scorching heat and heat wave in North India. The Meteorological Department is constantly issuing heat wave warnings.
In many states including UP, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, the mercury is crossing 40 degrees Celsius every day. Due to heat and heat wave, there is a greater risk of deterioration in the health of young children. In view of this, orders have been issued to extend summer holidays in many states. Recently, the municipal corporation schools of UP had extended the summer holidays for students up to class 8. Now other states are also announcing to extend these school holidays in view of the heat.
Summer holidays have recently been increased in Uttar Pradesh
Summer holidays have been extended in council schools of Uttar Pradesh. Summer holidays in state schools will continue till June 24. While schools up to class VIII will remain closed till June 28. It is worth noting that June 28 is Friday. This means that schools will open only on June 30 or July 1. Summer holidays in UP were ending on June 17.

Summer holidays in chhattisgarh
In view of the heat and heat wave, the Chhattisgarh School Education Department has also extended the summer holidays till June 25. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the health of the children.
Summer holidays in delhi
The Delhi government had already extended the summer holidays in view of the weather. Schools here are closed till June 30. The government is currently monitoring the situation.
Punjab and Haryana
Schools in Punjab and Haryana will also remain closed till June 30. The Punjab government had already announced the extension of summer holidays in view of the heat. It is expected that schools will open in these states on July 1.
Holidays in Rajasthan
Like Delhi, Punjab and Haryana, schools in Rajasthan also have summer holidays till June 30. It is expected that schools will open from July 1.
Summer holidays in bihar
Summer holidays in Bihar schools are only till June 18. Schools are to open here from June 19. However, in view of the scorching heat, the teachers’ union is demanding an extension of the holiday. Meanwhile, the DM of Patna and Gaya districts have ordered the schools to remain closed till June 19. The order states that schools from class 1 to 8 will remain closed on June 18 and 19.
