For 6 months, marshals of DTC and cluster buses were waiting for the government’s decision regarding salary and other demands. After the government did not accept their demands, Marshals finally sat on strike outside the Secretariat for salary. Employees associated with DTC and Collector Besan are continuously pressurizing the government to fulfill their demands.

Marshals’ pending salaries approved

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that the pending salaries of the marshals have been approved. This amount will soon be deposited in their bank account. Bus marshals are deployed in cluster and Delhi Transport Corporation buses for the safety of passengers, especially women.

While posting, Gehlot said that following the order of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the salaries of all bus marshals have been approved by the Transport Department till October 31. Soon the salary amount will be sent to the account of bus marshals. In such a situation, there will be a big increase in the salary of 10 thousand marshals. After receiving 5 months’ salary, an amount of Rs 50 thousand to 55 thousand is considered to be fixed in his account.

Please note that DTC and cluster buses have been deployed for security. More than 10,000 marshals have come out on the streets. These marshals, who are on indefinite strike, have not received their salary for the last 6 months. After this his financial condition has deteriorated. Their jobs also seem to be in danger due to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s decision to appoint civil defense personnel as home guards and deploy them as bus marshals.

Meanwhile, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor K Saxena has recently approved the proposal to terminate the service of civil defense volunteers posted as bus marshals. Chief Minister Kejriwal was also directed to consider the volunteers who lost their jobs for appointment to more than 10,000 posts of Home Guards sanctioned by him.

In a recent note written to the Transport Minister, the CM has instructed that the job of Civil Defense Volunteer has been abolished. They can be appointed as home guards. Six months’ salary can soon be seen in the accounts of the agitating marshals. Salaries will be paid in the month of November.
