Rajasthan Government: According to the notification, cash payment of 75 percent of the bonus amount and the remaining 25 percent amount will be deposited in GPF.
Let us tell you that even before the state employees’ organizations demanded bonus, the Ashok Gehlot-led government of Rajasthan announced bonus to its employees.
In Rajasthan, the government of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced to give bonus to government employees on the festival of Diwali. This decision of the Chief Minister will benefit 6 lakh employees of Rajasthan. This amount of bonus will be given to all those state employees except senior officers who are working in the pay-matrix level-12 or grade pay-4800 or below level pay scale of Rajasthan Civil Services Rules, 2017. It is being said that on this occasion of the festival, the state government has provided a big relief to its employees by announcing bonus.
Bonus will get this amount
The bonus of Diwali will also be given to Panchayat Samiti, Zilla Parishad employees and work-in-charge employees. The ad-hoc bonus has been announced for 2021-22 on the basis of maximum emoluments of Rs 7,000 and a month of 31 days. This bonus will be payable for a period of thirty days. In this way all the eligible employees of the state government will get a one-time ad-hoc bonus of Rs.6774. The decision will put a burden of about 406 crores on the exchequer.

According to the notification, 75 percent of the bonus amount will be paid in cash and the remaining 25 percent will be deposited in the general provisional fund account. Let us tell you that even before the state employees organization demanded bonus from the state government, Gehlot-led Rajasthan government announced bonus to its employees.
comparison with previous years
The Gehlot government had given bonus to about 6 lakh employees on Diwali last year as well. During that time, the employees got a bonus of up to Rs 6774. Earlier, on Diwali of 2021, 50 percent of the bonus money was deposited in cash and 50 percent money was deposited in the GPF account of the employees. But this time i.e. before Diwali 2022, 75% of the bonus amount will be directly credited to the salary account and the remaining 25% will be deposited in GPF.
Gehlot’s decision after Center
It is worth noting that just a few days ago, the central government had announced bonus to central employees on Diwali. The Finance Ministry had decided to give non-productivity linked bonus (ad hoc bonus) to central government employees. In which money will be given to the employees on the basis of 30 days salary.
Railways gave 78 days bonus
Indian Railways had approved a Productivity Linked Bonus equal to 78 days’ salary to all its eligible non-gazetted railway employees. RPF/RPSF employees were not included in this.
