UIDAI update: One of the most important identity documents in India is the Aadhar card. Aadhar card is required not only for government schemes but also for financial services. Aadhaar provides a wide range of services to all Aadhaar card holders. One of these services involves downloading Aadhaar PVC from the official website of UIDAI.
Unique Identification Authority of India has recently launched secure Aadhaar PVC cards for cardholders for security reasons. These will be sent to the address of the card holders by the agency itself.
Now, if you want to download your Aadhaar PVC from UIDAI website, you need not use your registered mobile number. You can avail this service without linking mobile number with your Aadhar card.
Those who want to do so have to visit the official website of UIDAI and go to the ‘My Aadhaar’ section, after which they have to enter their Aadhaar number and now follow the steps mentioned below…
Aadhar PVC Card: How to Apply
- Visit UIDAI website uidai.gov.in or resident.uidai.gov.in Go to
‘Order Aadhaar Card’ service - Enter your 12 digit Aadhar Card (UID) number / 16 digit Virtual Identification (VID) number / 28 digit Aadhar Enrollment Number
- Verify Your Security
- Complete with time-based one-time password by clicking on ‘TOTP’ option, else proceed with ‘OTP’ option
- Accept terms and conditions
- Submit TOTP or OTP
- Review your Aadhar card details and confirm for print
- Pay Rs.50 (Inclusive of GST and Postal Charges) through Credit, Debit Card, UPI or Net Banking
- Receive receipt with digital signature on screen and service request number on SMS.
- Download and save the receipt.
