The bank has appealed to the customers to update KYC. The bank has said that all customers should get KYC done by 12 December 2022. For the last several months, the bank has been appealing to its customers to update KYC (know your customer). By getting KYC done, the bank account of the customers will remain active, otherwise the customers will not be able to transfer funds.
PNB gave information
Punjab National Bank has tweeted to its customers that all customers should get their KYC updated. According to the information given by the bank, if you have not updated your KYC yet, then from December 12, you will not be able to do transactions from your account. Information in this regard has been given by issuing instructions from the Reserve Bank of India.
Let us tell you that the full form of KYC is ‘Know Your Customer’. Actually, KYC is a document giving information about a customer. Under this, customers write all the necessary information about themselves. In the field of banking, every 6 months or 1 year banks have to fill KYC form from their customers. In this KYC form, you have to fill your name, bank account number, PAN card number, Aadhaar card number, mobile number and complete address. In this way the bank gets all the information of the customer. KYC is very easy to do. You can easily do it sitting at home.
KYC can be done by going to the bank
If you want to go to the bank and get it done, you can do that too. For this, first of all, you go to the branch of the bank in which you have a bank account. Go there and take the KYC form from the concerned desk and after filling that form and attaching all the necessary documents in it, submit it. Your KYC gets updated within 3 working days after the KYC form is submitted.
