Best saving schemes for Women: The Narendra Modi government at the Center launched a great savings scheme for women in the year 2023. Under this scheme named Mahila Samman Savings Certificate (MSSC), an account of any woman in the country can be opened. A tremendous interest of 7.5 percent is being given on this scheme, which women do not get on any other fixed income small savings scheme. A lump sum amount is deposited in this scheme. This scheme matures in 2 years. A maximum of Rs 2 lakh can be invested in this scheme.
On investment of Rs 1 lakh, you will get fixed interest of Rs 16,022
If you want, you can open an MSSC account in any bank in the country. Apart from banks, you can also open a Mahila Samman Savings Certificate account in your nearest post office. If you are a man, you cannot take advantage of this scheme. However, you can open an account in the name of your mother and sister in this scheme. If you are married, you can earn huge profits by opening an account in the name of your wife in MSSC. If you deposit Rs 1,00,000 in this scheme in the name of your wife, then your wife will get a total of Rs 1,16,022 on maturity. Which includes a fixed interest of Rs 16,022.
Last date for investment in MSSC is March 31, 2025
Mahila Samman Savings Certificate is a government scheme, in which you get fixed interest with government guarantee. Let us tell you that the last date for investment in this scheme is March 31, 2025. Investment in this scheme will not be possible from April 1, 2025. Actually, there was a demand to extend the last date of this scheme. But in the budget presented on February 1, 2025, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman did not make any announcement regarding the date of this scheme, so this scheme will close on March 31 with the closure of banks and post offices.
