Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway: The travel time between Bengaluru and Mysore will now reduce. We are saying this because soon vehicles will start plying on the Bangalore-Mysore Expressway.
The journey from Bangalore to Mysore which used to take 3 hours will now take only 75 minutes. Let us tell you, the travel time between the two cities is going to be longer with the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway built in Karnataka. It has been built under a Bharatmala project (Bharatmala Pariyojana) in the major and ambitious scheme of the government. Also, tomorrow i.e. on March 12, PM Modi will inaugurate this expressway.
Let us tell you, Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has given information about this by tweeting recently. The Bangalore-Mysore Expressway has been built at a cost of Rs 8478 crore. This 118 km long expressway will reduce the travel time between the two major cities of Karnataka. Also, through this access control expressway, you will reach Mysore from Bangalore in just 75 minutes.
6 lane expressway
The Bangalore-Mysore Expressway has been made six-lane. A two-lane service road has been built on both sides of this expressway. Vehicles will be ready to ply on this expressway from tomorrow i.e. March 12. This will also give a boost to tourism.
These cities will benefit
If Bangalore is the economic capital of Karnataka, then Mysuru is considered the cultural capital. The expressway will connect these two big cities with Srirangapatna, Coorg, Ooty and some cities of Kerala.
