BCCI Domestic rules: BCCI has changed many rules of cricket for the domestic season. The biggest change among these is the rule of retiring in the middle of the innings.

With the start of the domestic cricket season in India, some new rules are also going to be implemented. In the Ranji Trophy matches starting from October 11, there will be no ‘facility’ to bat again after retiring hurt. Now, there will not be only a penalty for spitting saliva on the ball. Now, if this happens, the ball itself will be replaced.

BCCI has changed many rules of cricket for the domestic season. The biggest change is the one regarding retirement in the middle of the innings. Many times it used to happen that a batsman used to retire without any reason or to give others a chance. If the team needed him, he used to come back to bat. Now this will not happen. BCCI has made it clear that the facility of ‘retiring hurt’ will be available only in case of injury.

Website Cricbuzz According to the new rule, it is clear that if a player gets injured while playing, he can retire in the middle of the innings and he will also be allowed to bat again. If a batsman retires in the middle of the innings due to any reason other than injury, he will not be given a chance to bat again. This rule will apply not only in that innings but also in the super over (if needed).

BCCI has also added a thing in the rule of applying saliva on the ball. Earlier, if any team used to apply saliva on the ball, then it used to be fined. Now, not only will it be fined, but the ball will also be changed immediately. Let us tell you that these rules are only for BCCI matches. In the rest of the world, the same rules will be followed which have been decided by ICC.
