Banks will open only for 3 days this week, check holiday list

Bank holiday list is released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Apart from second-fourth Saturday and Sunday, there is bank holiday on the occasion of regional and national festivals.

According to the latest Bank Holiday List released by RBI, banks will remain open only for 3 days this week. If you are also thinking of going to the bank for some work this week, then you must check the bank holiday list of your city once. Voting for the fifth phase of Loksabha Election 2024 has started on 20 May 2024 (Monday). Banks in many cities are closed today due to election voting .

Banks are closed in these cities on 20 May 2024

Today is voting for the fifth phase (Lok Sabha Elections Phase 5). Due to voting, banks of Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Saran, Hajipur of Bihar along with Chatra, Koderma, Hazaribagh of Jharkhand will remain closed today.

Similarly, in Maharashtra, banks of Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Palghar, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Thane, Mumbai North, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-Central, Mumbai South-Central, Mumbai South will also not open.

Banks of Bargarh, Sundergarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Aska of Odisha and Mohanlalganj, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Barabanki, Faizabad, Kaiserganj, Gonda of Uttar Pradesh are also closed.

Banks in Bangaon, Barrackpore, Howrah, Uluberia, Shrirampur, Hooghly, Arambag of West Bengal and Baramulla of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are also closed.

When will banks be closed this week?

  • Banks will also remain closed on the occasion of Buddha Purnima on 23 May 2024.
  • May 25, 2024 is the fourth Saturday. This day is also a bank holiday.
  • Banks will remain closed on Sunday, 26 May 2024
