This time the festival of Holi will be celebrated on 25 March. Banks will remain closed across the country on this occasion. Along with this, banks will remain closed due to fourth Saturday and Sunday.
Why are banks closed for 6 consecutive days?
- 22 March 2024- Banks will remain closed in Patna due to Bihar Day.
- 23 March 2024- Banks are closed due to fourth Saturday.
- 24 March 2024- Banks are closed due to Sunday.
- 25 March 2024- Due to Holi, all except Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Imphal, Kochi, Kohima, Patna, Srinagar and Trivandrum. There will be a holiday in banks in the country.
- 26 March 2024- Banks are going to remain closed in Bhopal, Imphal, Patna due to Holi or Yaosang Day.
27 March 2024- Banks will remain closed in Patna due to Holi.
According to the calendar of the Reserve Bank, banks will remain closed for 6 consecutive days. On the occasion of Holi 2024, Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad (AP and Telangana), Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji. Banks will remain closed in Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong and Shimla.
