Bank Holidays on Chhath: Today is Bhai Dooj on 3 November and with its end, the 5-day Diwali festival will end. Now the festival of Chhath is coming. Although Chhath is celebrated in many parts of the country, but in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, this festival is eagerly awaited.

It is also celebrated with great joy. Under Chhath festival, this year Nahai Khay will be on 5 November, Kharna on 6 November, Sandhya Arghya on 7 November and Usha Arghya on 8 November. On this occasion, banks along with other institutions are also closed at many places.

November 8: Chhath (Morning Arghya)/Vangala Festival- Banks closed in Bihar, Jharkhand, Meghalaya

After this, banks will remain closed on 9 November due to the second Saturday of the month and on 10 November due to Sunday. Therefore, in some places including Bihar, Jharkhand, banks may remain closed for 4 consecutive days including Chhath festival and Saturday and Sunday. Online or internet banking, mobile banking, UPI service remains operational during the holidays.

November 17: Sunday – Banks closed across the country

November 18: Kanakadas Jayanti – Banks closed in Karnataka

November 23: Fourth Saturday of the month – Banks closed across the country

November 24: Sunday – Banks closed across the country
