Are banks closed on January 25 or not?

According to the Reserve Bank of India, all banks in the country remain closed on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. January 25, 2025 is the fourth Saturday of the month and all banks across the country will remain closed. You will not be able to get any work done by going to the bank.

Banks will remain closed on January 26 as well.

India’s 76th Republic Day will be celebrated on January 26. This day will be a government holiday and apart from banks, schools and colleges will also be closed. Since January 26 is also a Sunday, banks will have a weekly holiday on this day. All banks will remain closed on this day.

Banks will remain closed for 2 consecutive days.

Banks will remain closed on 25th January due to the fourth Saturday and 26th January due to Republic Day/Sunday. Due to this, all banks across the country will remain closed for two consecutive days. All banks in the country will remain open on 27th, 28th and 29th January.

Know where banks will be closed on January 30?

After January 26, there is also a holiday on January 30 but it will be applicable only in the state of Sikkim. All banks in Sikkim will be closed on the occasion of Sonam Losar. However, online banking services will be available on this day, so you can do banking work online. Thus, banks will remain closed for three days till the end of January.
