All government and private sector banks will remain closed on March 13 and 14. Banks will remain closed in many states of the country due to Holika Dahan. The festival of Holi begins with the burning of Holika.

Banks will remain closed in states like Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Kerala on the occasion of Holika Dahan. Government and private banks will remain closed on this day in these states. However, bank branches in Delhi, Mumbai and other states will remain open. People perform religious rituals on the day of Holika Dahan. For this reason, many states declare this day as a public holiday. Bank customers are advised that if they need to go to the bank branch, they can complete their work on March 12.

Net banking, mobile banking and ATM services will remain operational, so customers will not face any difficulty in transacting through digital means. If you have to withdraw cash or use any other banking service, then plan in advance and get the work done. So that you do not have to face any kind of problem during Holi.

  • Sunday, March 16 – Banks will remain closed in all states.
  • Saturday, March 22 – Banks will remain closed due to it being the fourth Saturday.
  • Sunday, March 23 – Banks will remain closed across India.
  • Saturday, March 22 – Banks in Bihar will remain closed on the occasion of Bihar Day.
  • Thursday, March 27 – Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir due to Shab-e-Qadr.
  • Friday, March 28 – Banks in Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed due to Jumatul-Vida.
  • Sunday, March 30 – Banks will remain closed across India.
  • Monday, March 31 – Banks will remain closed in most states of India due to Eid-ul-Fitr, but banks will remain open in Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh.

It is important to note that each state has its own list of bank holidays. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases the list of bank holidays for each state on its official website. If you have to go to the bank to get any work done, then first check the list of holidays in your state. Even if the banks remain closed, customers will not face any problem, therefore, net banking, mobile banking and ATM services will remain operational.
