Bank Holiday 2025 : Banks across the country will remain closed for three days in the remaining days of March, which may affect crores of customers. However, this bank holiday will be on different dates in different states.

Banks across the country will remain closed on March 31 as the festival of Ramadan-Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr) will be celebrated on this day.

List of Bank Holidays in March

  • As per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) rules, banks will remain closed on these dates in March.
  • 27 March 2025 – Shab-e-Qadr (Banks closed in Jammu and Srinagar)
  • 28 March 2025 – Jumat-ul-Wida (Banks closed in Jammu and Srinagar)
  • 31 March 2025 – Ramadan-Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr) (Banks closed in many cities of the country)

Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram.

Online banking services will continue.

However, these holidays will not have any impact on online banking services.
Customers can easily transact through net banking, UPI and mobile banking.

  • Banks will be closed for 15 days in April 2025.
  • Banks will be closed for 15 days in April, including the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.

  • 18 April – Good Friday

  • 29 April – Lord Parashurama Jayanti
  • 30 April – Basava Jayanti / Akshaya Tritiya
