Bank Holidays: On the occasion of Chhath Puja, banks will remain closed for four consecutive days in some states. In such a situation, customers will have to go to the bank keeping the bank holiday in mind.
So that they can complete the bank related work without any hassle. Many states are included in the list of four-day bank holidays. States like Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi and West Bengal are in the list of long bank holidays. Customers of these states should go to the bank only after looking at the list of RBI holidays.
Banks will remain closed for 4 days in these states of the country
- November 7 (Thursday): Chhath Puja Sandhya Arghya – Banks closed in Bihar, Delhi, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
- November 8 (Friday) : Chhath Puja Morning Arghya and Wangala Festival – Banks closed in Bihar, Jharkhand and Meghalaya.
- November 9 (Saturday): Second Saturday – All banks closed across the country as per RBI rules.
- November 10 (Sunday): Banks will remain closed across the country
- Banks will remain closed for a total of 13 days in November 2024
Apart from Chhath Puja, there are many other holidays in November. In India, banks remain closed on the basis of national, local and state holidays. Apart from every Sunday, banks remain closed on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.
List of remaining holidays in November
November 15 (Friday): Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartik Purnima – Banks closed in Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and other states.
- 17 November (Sunday): National holiday.
- November 18 (Monday): Banks closed in Karnataka for Kanakadasa Jayanti.
- November 23 (Saturday): Fourth Saturday and Senkut Snei Festival in Meghalaya.
- November 24 (Sunday): Banks closed across the country.
Customers should complete their essential banking work before time. Digital banking services like internet banking, mobile app and ATM service will continue to be available. Customers can use their essential services through these means.
