New Delhi. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays (Bank Holidays in August 2024) for the first month of next year i.e. January 2022. In such a situation, it would be better if you check the list of bank holidays before going to the branch for the work left for August.
According to this list, banks will remain closed for a total of 14 days in the next month i.e. August. Out of the total 13 bank holidays in August, 4 holidays are on Sundays. Many of these holidays are also going to be consecutive. Please note that banks will not remain closed for 13 days across the country. According to the list of holidays given on the official website of RBI, these holidays are in different states. All these holidays will not be applicable in all states. At the same time, according to RBI guidelines, apart from Sunday, banks will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

- 3 August- Ker Puja- Banks will remain closed in Agartala state.
- 4 August- Sunday weekly holiday.
- 8 August- Tendong Lo Rum Phat- Banks will remain closed in Sikkim.
- 10 August- Second Saturday of the month.
- 11 August- Sunday weekly holiday.
- 13 August- Patriot’s Day- Banks are closed in Manipur.
- 15 August- Independence Day/Parsi New Year (Shahenshahi)- All banks are closed in India.
- 18 August- Sunday weekly holiday.
- 19 August- Raksha Bandhan/Jhulana Purnima/Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur’s Birthday- Banks are closed in Tripura, Gujarat, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh
- 20 August- Sri Narayan Guru Jayanti.
- 24 August- Fourth Saturday of the month.
- 25 August- Sunday weekly holiday.
- 26 August- Janmashtami (Shravan Vad-8)/Krishna Jayanti. In such a situation, there is closure in Gujarat, Orissa, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh state, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and Srinagar.
