November 8: Chhath (Morning Arghya)/Vangala Festival- Banks closed in Bihar, Jharkhand, Meghalaya

Banks are closed across the country due to fourth Saturday of the month on October 26 and Sunday on October 27 before Diwali.

Two categories of holidays

Bank customers should remember that some bank holidays are under the ‘National Holiday’ category and some holidays/festivals are related to a particular state or region. Only the banks of a particular state or region remain closed on holidays related to a particular region. Therefore, bank customers should go to the bank only after checking the bank holiday list and finish their work on time.
