Banks will remain closed for 16 days
According to the Reserve Bank of India, there will be work only for 16 days in April. Banks will remain closed for a total of 14 days in April due to national and regional holidays. At the same time, due to closing of bank accounts at the end of the financial year in April, there will be a bank holiday on April 1, the beginning of the month. Apart from this, due to Eid, there is a holiday on 10th April in many places and 11th April in many states.

1 April 2024- Due to closing of accounts of banks at the end of the financial year, Agartala, Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad – Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur. There will be a bank holiday on April 1 in Kochi, Kohima, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram.
5 April 2024- Banks will remain closed on this day in Hyderabad – Telangana, Jammu and Srinagar due to Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birthday and Jumat-ul-Vida.
7 April 2024- Sunday, banks will remain closed across the country.
9 April 2024- Banks will remain closed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji and Srinagar due to Gudi Padwa / Ugadi Festival / Telugu New Year and first Navratri.
10 April 2024- Banks will remain closed in Kochi and Kerala due to Eid.
11 April 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to Eid.
13 April 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to the second Saturday of the month.
14 April 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
15 April 2024- Banks will remain closed in Guwahati and Shimla due to Himachal Day.
17 April 2024- Banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Shimla, Mumbai and Nagpur on the festival of Shri Ram Navami.
20 April 2024- There will be a bank holiday in Agartala due to Garia Puja.
21 April 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
27 April 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to the fourth Saturday.
28 April 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
Online services will continue when banks are closed
