Bank Holiday: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for November 2024 on its official website.

According to this list, banks will remain closed in different states for a total of 13 days this month, including 4 consecutive days off next week. Let us know when the banks will remain closed in which states.

According to the RBI holiday list, banks will be closed in Bihar, Delhi, Jharkhand and West Bengal on the occasion of Chhath Puja (evening prayer) on November 7. After this, banks will remain closed in Bihar, Jharkhand and Meghalaya on November 8 for morning prayer and Wangala festival. Apart from this, all government and private banks across the country, including State Bank of India (SBI), remain closed on every second and fourth Saturday. Therefore, if you are planning to go for any bank related work, then first make sure whether the bank is open on that day or not, so that you do not face any inconvenience.

Bank holidays in these states

  • November 7: Banks will remain closed in states like Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand on the occasion of Chhath (evening Arghya).
  • November 8: Banks will remain closed in Bihar, Jharkhand and Meghalaya due to Chhath (morning prayer) and Wangala Festival.
  • November 9 (Saturday): All banks across India will remain closed on second Saturday.
  • November 10 (Sunday): Banks will remain closed in all states and union territories on Sunday.

How to do banking during the holidays

You can do your banking work online even during holidays. ATM, internet banking and mobile banking services will remain operational, so there will be no problem in transactions. You can complete your banking work using these digital services.
