Remaining holidays in October

October 26: Action Day and fourth Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir, when banks will remain closed.

October 27: Weekly holiday (Sunday).

October 31: Diwali (Deepawali), Kali Puja, Birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel and Narak Chaturdashi.

Banks will be closed in most states on the occasion of Diwali on 31 October 2024. All banks in Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal will be closed on this day.

After this, on November 1, 2024, banks will also remain closed in Tripura, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Manipur due to Diwali, Kut Festival and Karnataka Rajyotsav.

On November 2, banks will be closed in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh on account of Diwali (Bali Pratipada), Balipadyami, Lakshmi Puja, Govardhan Puja, and Vikram Samvat New Year.

All banks will be closed on November 3 due to Bhai Dooj, it is also a Sunday.

Karnataka and Maharashtra will have four consecutive days off from October 31 to November 3, while Uttarakhand and Sikkim will have three days of bank holiday from November 1 to 3. Several major festivals will be celebrated during the Kut festival, including Chawang Kut, Thalphawang Kut and Pawal Kut.
