Banks across the country will remain closed on 1 December due to World AIDS Day. Whereas, banks in Panaji will remain closed on 3 December due to Saint Francis Xavier’s festival.
8 December is the first Saturday of the month due to which all the banks in the country will remain closed and on 10 December, due to Human Rights Day, banks across the country will remain closed. At the same time, banks will also remain closed on 11 December due to UNICEF birthday.
14, 15, 18 and 19 December
December 14 is the second Saturday of the month, so all banks in the country will remain closed
15 December is Sunday due to which all the banks in the country will remain closed whereas, on 18 December, banks in Chandigarh will remain closed due to Guru Ghasidas Jayanti. Whereas, on 19 December, banks in Panaji will remain closed due to Goa Liberation Day.
22, 24, 25 and 26 December
There will be a Sunday holiday on December 22, while December 24 is the Martyrdom Day of Guru Teg Bahadur, due to which all banks in Meghalaya, Mizoram, Punjab and Chandigarh will remain closed.
All banks will remain closed on 25 December for Christmas and 26 December for Boxing Day and Kwanzaa, which is why banks will remain closed
From 28 to 31 December
Due to December 28 being the fourth Saturday of the month and December 29 being Sunday, banks across the country will remain closed
Banks in Sikkim will remain closed on December 30 due to Tamu Losar, while banks in Mizoram will remain closed on December 31 on New Year’s Eve.
