Banks will remain closed on Friday, February 28

Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on 27 March 2025 on the occasion of Jumat-ul-Vida. Jumat-ul-Vida is the last Friday of the month of Ramadan, which is considered very special and sacred in the Muslim community. On this day, special prayers are offered in mosques, the Quran is recited, and prayers are offered to Allah. It is celebrated as a farewell to the last Friday of Ramadan, where people increase their prayers and pray to Allah for mercy and forgiveness.

Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir

This is why it has been declared a state level bank holiday in Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from Jammu and Kashmir, banks will remain open in all other states of the country. However, online banking services like UPI, internet banking and mobile banking will continue to be available as before. So that customers can do their financial transactions without any hassle.

When will the banks be closed

March 27 (Thursday): Shab-e-Qadr – Banks closed in Jammu

March 28 (Friday): Jumat-ul-Vida – Banks closed in Jammu and Kashmir

30 March (Sunday) – Weekly Holiday

March 31 (Monday): Ramzan-Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr) (Shawwal-1), Khutub-e-Ramzan – Holiday in most states except Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh.
