Bank Holidays : Banks are going to remain closed in Rajasthan today on Friday. Banks are going to remain closed for six consecutive days from today. However, these holidays will not be simultaneously in the whole country.
The day and reason of the holiday is different in different states. The six-day holiday of banks includes local holidays, festivals and weekend holidays. Banks are going to remain closed from 13 to 18 September. Check the list of holidays here.

13 September – Ramdev Jayanti / Teja Dashami (Friday) – Rajasthan
14 September — Second Saturday / Onam (festival) — All over India and especially in Kerala
September 15 — Sunday / Thiruvonam (festival) — all over India and especially in Kerala
September 16 – Eid-e-Milad (Monday) – all over India
September 17 – Indra Jatra (Tuesday) – Sikkim
18 September — Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti (Wednesday) — Kerala
Long weekend next week
21 September – Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi (Saturday) – Kerala
September 22 – Sunday – All over India
23 September – Martyrdom Day of Martyrs (Monday) – Haryana
There will also be holidays at the end of September on the fourth Saturday and the last Sunday — 28 and 29 September.

How do banks decide holidays?
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and state governments together prepare a list of holidays for banks. This includes national and local occasions, religious festivals and cultural events. RBI provides information about holidays through its website and banks.

During the holidays, you can take advantage of all online and digital banking services. This means that customers can do their banking work through online fund transfer and mobile banking apps.
