Bank Holiday on May 9: Public sector and private sector banks in West Bengal will remain closed today i.e. on Tuesday, May 9 due to Rabindra Jayanti.
The day marks the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, the famous Bengali poet, novelist, dramatist, scholar, humanist, philosopher and Nobel laureate. Banks are going to remain closed on Tuesday in the area coming under Kolkata circle. However, work related to net banking and ATM can be done. Banks will remain open today in rest of the states in the country.
