There are 4 Sundays in the month of August, while the 2nd and 4th Saturdays are bank holidays. That is, these 6 holidays are fixed in the whole country. Some of these holidays will be applicable to banks across the country, while some will be applicable to states and territories. Banks are open on the first and third Saturday of every month. Some of these bank holidays are of the states and during national holidays all the banks across the country will remain closed.
