The month of April has started. In such a situation , the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of Bank Holidays in April 2023 . These holidays include both national and regional holidays.
This banking holiday will be different in different zones. In such a situation, it becomes very important for all bank customers to stay updated with the list of bank holidays. The list of holidays in the month of April is quite long. There will be total 15 days bank holiday in April.
The bank remains closed on every Sunday as well as on the second and fourth Saturdays.
Explain that banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month along with every Sunday. Due to the annual closure of banks on April 1, except for Aizawl, Shillong, Shimla and Chandigarh zones, banks in all other zones were closed.
On the other hand, due to Sunday on April 2, there will be a holiday in the banks. Banks in Hamadabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur and Ranchi zones will remain closed on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, the next banking holiday.
There will be holiday on these days also
On April 5, the banks of Hyderabad zone will remain closed on the occasion of Jagjivan Ram Jayanti. Banks will remain closed all over India except Agartala, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Shimla and Srinagar on the occasion of Good Friday on 7th April. April 8 is the second Saturday of the month, due to which there will be no work in banks across the country on that day.
Due to Sunday on April 9, banks across the country will remain closed. After this, banks will remain closed all over India except Bhopal, New Delhi, Raipur, Shillong and Shimla on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14. April 15 will be a bank holiday in Agartala, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Shimla and Thiruvananthapuram on account of Vishu, Bohag, Bihu, Himachal Day, Bengali New Year.
There will be a holiday between April 16 and April 22
On April 16, due to Sunday, there will be a holiday in banks across the country. Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir on April 18 on the occasion of Shab-e-Kadra. After this, banks will remain closed in Tripura, Jammu-Kashmir and Kerala on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on April 21. Due to the fourth Monday of the month on April 22, there will be no work in banks across the country.
