Average minimum balance in the account for HDFC-
The average minimum balance limit in HDFC depends on your residency. In cities, this limit is Rs 10,000. At the same time, there is a limit of Rs 5,000 in semi-urban areas and Rs 2,500 in rural areas.
ICICI Bank limit-
In the account of ICICI Bank, the same minimum balance has to be maintained as HDFC. Here it is necessary to maintain a limit of Rs 10,000 for urban area account holder, Rs 5,000 for semi-urban and Rs 2,500 for rural area.
The rule of minimum balance is not applicable in some special bank accounts. Such bank accounts include accounts linked to the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, basic savings bank deposit accounts, savings accounts of pensioners, salary accounts and savings accounts of minors.
