There has been turmoil and chaos in Bangladesh for the past few days. The students’ agitation against reservation became so violent that they even attacked and occupied the residence of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
However, now a new government has been formed in Bangladesh. Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus was appointed as the Prime Minister of the interim government in Bangladesh on Tuesday night. President Muhammad Shahabuddin announced the appointment of Yunus after talks with 13 members of the coordination board of the student movement.
Many Indians are also stranded in Bangladesh amid the political turmoil there. Their families are waiting for their return. The Indian government is taking all necessary steps to bring back all Indians.
Flights to Dhaka were canceled on Tuesday
Meanwhile, according to information received from sources, Air India will operate its scheduled flights from Delhi to Dhaka on Wednesday and is also likely to operate a special flight to bring back people from the Bangladesh capital.

Vistara and IndiGo will also operate their scheduled flights to Dhaka on Wednesday, where the situation remains tense due to the protests.
On Tuesday, Air India operated its evening flight to Dhaka. It had cancelled its morning flight to the city.
Sheikh Hasina ruled Bangladesh for 15 years
Bangladesh has seen political developments in the last few days. Sheikh Hasina, who ruled the country for 15 years, resigned as Prime Minister on Monday following massive protests.
The protests initially started as a movement against the job quota scheme but after a few weeks it turned into a mass movement demanding his removal from power.
Flights will be operated to Dhaka
Meanwhile, sources said that Air India will operate its scheduled two daily flights from Delhi to Dhaka on Wednesday.
He said the airline may also operate a special flight to bring back people from Dhaka. Sources said Vistara and IndiGo will operate scheduled services to the Bangladesh capital from Wednesday.
As per the schedule, Vistara operates daily flights from Mumbai and 3 weekly flights from Delhi to Dhaka.
Both Vistara and IndiGo had cancelled their Tuesday flights to the Bangladesh capital.
Usually, IndiGo operates one daily flight from Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to Dhaka and two daily services from Kolkata to the Bangladesh capital.
Visitors to Dhaka will get offers
On Tuesday evening, Air India said it will operate its evening flights AI237/238 on the Delhi-Dhaka-Delhi sector.
In a statement, the airline also said that due to the current situation there, passengers with confirmed bookings on any flights to and from Dhaka between August 4 and 7 are being offered a one-time discount on rescheduling.
This offer will be applicable on tickets booked on or before August 5.
199 passengers and 6 infants were brought from Dhaka to Delhi
Air India operated a special charter flight at short notice late last night despite infrastructure challenges at Dhaka airport. It carried 199 passengers and 6 infants from Dhaka to Delhi and arrived in Delhi this morning. This information has come to light quoting Air India sources.
