Nowadays it has become very important to have Aadhar card for young children. Now the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said in a statement that from April to July, more than 7.9 million children under the age of five have been registered under the Unique Identification Authority of India’s child Aadhaar initiative.
Registration of over 7.9 million children “Bal Aadhaar registration is progressing very well, with increased pace across the country…,” the statement said, adding that 26.4 million children in the age group of 0 to five had access as of March. Till the end of the year, there was a child base and by the end of July this number increased to 34.3 million.
The ministry said that 70% of the target group was enrolled in states like Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Mizoram, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh. Aadhar card will have to be updated twice Biometrics have not been developed for children below five years of age. In such a situation, biometric information such as fingerprints and iris scan are not included in the child’s Aadhaar data.
The biometrics should be updated once the child reaches the age of five. When these children turn 5 and 15 years old, they will have to update their biometrics, which include ten fingers, iris and a picture of their face. There will be an indication to this effect in the original Aadhaar letter.
With the help of these steps, child aadhar card will be made
- First of all go to uidai.gov.in on the address bar from your internet browser
- Select the option of Baal Aadhaar Card online.
- After that click on Aadhar Card Registration.
- Now a form will open in front of you. Enter your child’s name, parent’s mobile number and e-mail address on it.
- Fill in the A in the demographic information by filling in all the information.
- After this you will see the option of Fix Appointment. Click on it and select the date for registration of Aadhar card.
- After this you have to choose the Enrollment Center. After selecting the center, you will be able to proceed with this process.
- Later you will need to go to the Aadhaar Card Enrollment Center.
- Submit the form along with your child’s birth certificate and your Aadhar card.
- The mobile number and Aadhar card of the child’s mother or father will be verified.
- After verification, the photograph of the child will be taken.
- If the child is more than 5 years of age, then his fingerprint and iris will also be scanned.
- You will be given a slip from the centre. With the help of that slip, you will be able to check the status of Aadhaar.
