New Delhi. If you travel by Delhi Metro, then this news is useful for you. In view of the upcoming Independence Day, the timing of Delhi Metro has been changed. According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), on August 15, metro services will start at 4 am on all lines from every terminal station.
Metro officials said on Tuesday that train services on all DMRC lines will be available at an interval of 15 minutes from 4 am to 6 am on Independence Day and the regular time table will be followed in the subsequent period. Apart from this, people who have invitation cards issued by the Ministry of Defense to participate in the Independence Day celebrations will be allowed entry and travel on showing a valid photo ID card at the station.

Special arrangements at these 3 metro stations
DMRC’s Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal said, “This arrangement will be valid only for exit at Lal Qila, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk metro stations, which are closest to the event venue. These invitation cards will also be valid for the return journey from these 3 stations only.”

The Defence Ministry will reimburse the expenses to DMRC.
Dayal said that regular announcements will be made inside the train to inform the passengers about these arrangements. He said that the Defence Ministry will reimburse the expenses incurred on the travel of such passengers to DMRC.
